Hello! My name is Gaby Cabral, I'm 23 years old and I'm Brazilian!
At the age of 15 I opened my first "company". I started a blog (Just Gaby) where I talked about "the teen world" (films, books, texts, fashion), had about 500,000 views per month and had a great profit making partnerships and trips with Brazilian brands.
At 18 I received a e-mail from a publisher to write a book with the stories I talked on my blog. At 19 I published the book that had the same name as the blog "Just Gaby and her diary".
I decided to go to school for journalism as it was a natural fit. My previous blog experience gave me a great start heading into university and I was excited for the journey ahead.
When I started college I left the blog aside, but in the last year of college I decided to start a new company: JG DIGITAL MARKETING.
"JG" comes from Just Gaby, the name of my blog and my book - both gave me so many memories and incredible experiences, so I couldn't imagine my company with another name.
In the first year of business, JG was already a 6 figure company and in the second year, in the middle of a pandemic, in July we doubled our annual sales.
But do not think that the path was all incredible and super easy. There are still sleepless nights, the fear of not being a good leader for my team or of not delivering enough to my clients. These are fears and challenges that cross my mind daily.
In the middle of an entrepreneurial journey you learn a lot about yourself and it is important to know when you are following a dream or just doing it because someone told you that following this journey it will give you money.
It's very easy at first to follow a decision because everyone tells you how rich you are going to be, but in the middle of the journey if you don't love what you do enough, you will give up overnight
My advice to who is starting now? Be aligned with your life purpose. in which market do you enjoy working? would you spend sleepless nights doing this without question? How will your business impact the world?
(At JG, the main mission is to get all my clients involved in social projects. And they are.)
