Romanow launched her first business, a coffeeshop, in 2006 while studying at Queen's University. She graduated and started Evandale Caviar, a vertically integrated fishery that distributed high end sturgeon caviar to luxury hotels and restaurants.
This business failed, but then…
In 2011, 5 years after graduating, she launched Buytopia.ca, which within 1 year had a value of $25 million. Another year later, she had over 2.5 million subscribers and went on to sell the business to Groupon for twice the value it had the year before!
All this before turning 30 years old!
